What's on the craft table today?

I've been doing a lot of the beaded flower rings I mentioned in my last post. Some days I hardly get in the door at the office before someone wants to buy some of them! I must admit, they are awefully cute, and so appropriate for bright summer clothes. Here are few that I've made from special orders around the office.  These are so much fun to do.  You never really know exactly how they are going to come out.  Some are perfectly round, and others turn into more organic shapes as you work with each petal.

I've had several people express interest in a smaller version appropriate for an older child. These and others I've done are made with 10/0 and 11/0 beads. I've seen 15/0 beads, and if my old eyes can focus on something that small, I'll try those out for the smaller versions. If you use too few beads, the curve at the top of each petal is awkward and doesn't look right, so a smaller bead may be needed to get the look I want.

I want to thank Tricia again (http://ohsocrafty.blogspot.com/) for the inspiration.  Not sure if its a good thing or not, but this new craft has led me to look for new supplies - besides the beads.  See the little embellishments in the center of each flower?  Well, you won't believe how many options are out there that make perfect coverups for the mechanical bit in the center of each flower!  I'm obsessed with scrapbooking embellishments and little girl's button earrings.  They are perfect for these projects.

Well, that's all for now.  I hope you're enjoying your creative time as much as I'm enjoying mine!
